New Appointment to Drive Steel Growth
Powell & Co, specialists in the design and build of Poultry Housing & Agricultural Buildings, is delighted to appoint a new Steel Business Development Manager, bringing a wealth of steel industry expertise to the business.
Based at the head office in Kingsland, Herefordshire, Chris Lambert joins the steel team to support exciting business growth plans within the steel sector. Powell & Co fabricate high-quality steel for a variety of structures including Poultry Houses, Agricultural Buildings, Factories, Industrial, Forecourt and Retail Units. Currently, Powell & Co fabricates over 1,400 tonnes of steel for projects across the UK per annum.
Having worked in the steel industry for over 40 years, Chris has a wealth of experience from fabrication through to the installation of steel for a wide range of construction projects. Chris was previously a director at Sunstrand Ltd for four years and STL Steel Structures Ltd for fifteen years. He started his career as an apprentice fabricator welder before spending time in the Merchant Navy and then becoming a Quality Technical Manager for a metal processing facility.
Commenting on his appointment, Chris says, “I am delighted to be joining Powell & Co at an exciting time as the business invests further to grow the steel side of the business. The growth plans provide exciting opportunities for the fabrication team to manufacture steel for a broader market. I look forward to working with the team to further promote the high-quality steel and the tailored personal service offered to a wide range of clients across the UK.”
