Broiler Houses, Mid-Wales

Powell & Co were initially contacted by 4^th and 5^th generation poultry farmers in mid Wales, for a quotation to repair wind damage on some buildings.  Following Jason Powell’s specification and competitive price they commissioned Powell’s to complete the work.  As a result of the quality workmanship the family asked Powell’s to design and build a new 280ft by 80ft broiler house.

Four years later Powell’s returned to their new site and in February 2019 completed the build of two additional broiler houses 320ft by 80ft, with groundworks completed by Connop Groundworks.  Each broiler house holds 50,000 birds which are sent to be processed by Highbury Poultry in Shropshire. The two houses feature ventilation, heating, feeders and drinkers from JF McKenna Ltd, leading experts in the supply of equipment and services to the poultry industry in the UK & Ireland.
