Powell & Co are an accredited CHAS contractor and all steel is fully UKCA accredited.  We are proud of our accreditations ensuring we are operating to the highest standards as a leading supplier of poultry houses and agricultural buildings.  The business is a member of RIDBA and Hereford & Worcester Chamber of Commerce.

CHAS

CHAS is an authority and trusted advisor on health and safety compliance, responsible for setting industry benchmarks and providing the new Common Assessment Standards. Since 1997, CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) has been helping to improve health and safety standards across the UK and safeguard organisations from risk.  They work in partnership with leading industry bodies and independent organisations to provide clients and contractors alike with a single solution for accreditation, risk assessment, supply chain management and industry training.

UKCA Accredited

The UKCA marking is the product marking used for products being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). The UKCA marking applies to most products for which the CE marking could be used.  SCCS provide certification of factory production control, bolting and welding systems to enable companies to carry out UKCA accrediation.

 

SCCS

The Steel Construction Certification Scheme (SCCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of The BCSA and provides a Quality Management Systems certification service for steelwork contracting organisations. SCCS has developed additional certification and monitoring services for the steelwork contractors with integrated or separate Environmental and Health & Safety management systems.

RIDBA

Powell & Co are members of RIBDA.  The Rural and Industrial Design and Building Association (RIDBA) is the leading trade association for the modern agriculture and industrial buildings industry in the UK. Providing a strong collective voice for the sector, RIDBA represents member views to the wider industry including government, leading client organisations and other key stakeholders.
