£5,000 donation to The Friends of Staffordshire Macmillan Cancer Support
Powell & Co Construction, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of Poultry Housing and Agricultural Buildings, has donated £5,000 to The Friends of Staffordshire Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan improves the lives of people affected by cancer locally providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. Being diagnosed with cancer can bring financial difficulties. People may have to give up work or face increased fuel bills or travel costs. Local fundraising helps Macmillan to cover expenses or to finance breaks for patients and their families.
To help raise additional funds The Friends of Staffordshire Macmillan Cancer Support are holding an event on Saturday 8th June at Woodlawn, Uttoxeter. The black-tie event titled ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’ has fantastic support from a number of national and local businesses including Powell & Co.
All money raised at the event stays in Staffordshire to ensure anyone within the county affected by cancer benefits from the support available and receive the same level of care, regardless of whom they are and where they live.
