In July 2020 beef and sheep farmer, Ioan signed off the construction of a new free-range 457ft x 65ft poultry house.  The £1 million investment into a new state of the art free-range layers enterprise was part of planned diversification to secure the future of the family business.

The shed houses 32,000 free-range on a Lloyds Country Fresh contact, with around 30,000 eggs produced every day and supplied to supermarkets.  Any surplus eggs are donated by Ioan to the local Salvation Army in Newtown.  The house was built slightly larger to allow more space for the hens to move around and features the Big Dutchman Natura system supplied and installed by Newquip.
